RESOLUTION NO. 2019-511
REQUEST APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE ORDINANCE
REQUEST FROM WATERLOO HOMECOMING
ASSOCIATION ON AUGUST 6, 2019 FROM 9:00 A.M. TO 8:00
P.M. IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE WATERLOO
HOMECOMING EVENT, TO BE HELD AT SULLIVAN PARK,
INCLUDING THE USE OF A P.A. SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Waterloo Homecoming Association is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on August 6, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in conjunction with the Waterloo
Homecoming event to be held in and around Sullivan Park, including the use of a PA system,
together with the recommendation and approval of the Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Waterloo Homecoming Association for a variance to
the Noise Ordinance, on August 6, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p m., in conjunction with the
Waterloo Homecoming event to be held in and around Sullivan Park, including the use of a PA
system, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of July 2019.
