RESOLUTION NO. 2019-531
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO SHAW ELECTRIC, INC., OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,230.72, AND
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH IMPROVEMENTS TO THE
AIRLINE PASSENGER TERMINAL BUILDING CEILING LIGHTING
REPLACEMENT PROJECT - PHASE I, AND AUTHORIZE THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Shaw Electric, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted bids in conjunction with
the Airline Passenger Terminal Building Ceiling Lighting Replacement Project - Phase I, in the
amount of $9,230.72, and
WHEREAS, Shaw Electric, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2019-503, after public hearing on July 1, 2019, in conjunction with the Airline
Passenger Terminal Building Ceiling Lighting Replacement Project - Phase I.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Shaw Electric, Inc., in the amount of $9,230.72, in conjunction
with the Airline Passenger Terminal Building Ceiling Lighting Replacement Project - Phase I, is
hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance submitted by Shaw Electric,
Inc., in conjunction with the Airline Passenger Terminal Building Ceiling Lighting Replacement
Project - Phase I, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of July 2019.
