RESOLUTION NO. 2019-554
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO MIRON
CONSTRUCTION CO., INC., OF NEENAH, WISCONSIN, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $148,226, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH FY 2020 DIGESTER #3 LID
REMOVAL, CONTRACT NO. 982, AND AUTHORIZE THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Miron Construction Co., Inc., of Neenah, Wisconsin, submitted bids for the
FY 2020 Digester#3 Lid Removal, Contract No. 982, in the amount of$148,226, and
WHEREAS, Miron Construction Co., Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2019-527, after public hearing on July 15, 2019, in conjunction with the FY
2020 Digester#3 Lid Removal, Contract No. 982.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Miron Construction Co., Inc., submitted in the amount of
$148,226 for the FY 2020 Digester #3 Lid Removal, Contract No. 982, is hereby accepted and
awarded to Miron Construction Co., Inc.
2. That the contract, bond, and certificate of insurance, submitted by Miron
Construction Co., Inc., are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of July 2019.
