Getty Council Chambers Members present: Vice Chairperson Bruce Jacobs, Pat Morrissey, and Chairperson Sharon Juon. Mr. Morrissey participated via telephone. Moved by Morrissey seconded by Jacobs that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Morrissey seconded by Jacobs that the Minutes of August 5, 2019, as proposed, be approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Morrissey seconded by Jacobs that the request for the following travel requests, be approved. Amount + Est. S/H Expenditure Airport $3,768 + $547 S/H Request authorization for the replacement of two wheels and tires on the airline terminal passenger boarding bridge. Building Maintenance $42,073 Amendment to original pre -authorization request for $35,000, approved 6/3/2019 for emergency repairs to Byrnes pool. Engineering $1,200 New 51x8' trailer and water pump. Fire $1,270.76 Portable rescue air supply for new truck. Leisure Services $1,107.50 Purchase of water aerobic weights. Leisure Services $1,543.60 New batteries for the electric Gator at the SportsPlex. Leisure Services NTE $10,000 Processed top soil for filling holes created by the removal of ash tree stumps in parks and along street right-of-ways. MIS $5,900 Annual website hosting, maintenance and content management system technical support. Police $23,721.60 Purchase (32) Dell Precision 3430 desktop computers for the Police Department to replace older and non- functioning units. Police $15,000 Renewal of software license for cellular phone forensic examinations done by the police department for criminal investigations. Moved by Juon seconded by Morrissey that project budget for the Byrnes Justice Assistance Grant for the Tri -County Task Force funded with a federal grant in the amount of $195,640 with $101,657 to be used by the City of Waterloo and $93,383 to be used by other agencies, as submitted by the Police Department, be approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Mr. Morrissey requested an explanation of the supporting documentation. Dan Trelka, Chief of Police, explained that the city is a pass through for the other entities participating in the program. He explained that the Waterloo property taxes support the Waterloo officers participating in the program. Moved by Juon seconded by Jacobs that refund request in the amount of $56.35 for garbage collection fees billed in error on a property located at 3624 Logan Avenue, be approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Juon seconded by Jacobs that refund request in the amount of $93 for extended yard waste fees paid in error on a property located at 1701 Corning Avenue, be approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Juon seconded by Jacobs that refund request in the amount of $166.73 for yard waste can and extended yard waste fees paid in error on a property located at 126 Lobdell Road, be approved. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried. Moved by Juon seconded by Jacobs that Bills Payment, as contained in Accounts Payable Invoice Report, dated August 12, 2019, in the amount of $2,015,962.72 be received, placed on file and approved and forwarded to the full council for approval. Voice vote - Ayes: Three. Motion carried.
