AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1991 TRAFFIC CODE
BY:
REPEALING SUBSECTIONS (39) EIGHTH ST. (W),
(73) LELAND AVENUE, (115) SECOND ST. (W),
(117) SEVENTH ST. (W), (121a) SOUTH STREET AND
(129) THIRD ST. (W) OF SECTION 543, THRU
STREETS; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF NEW
SUBSECTIONS (39) EIGHTH ST. (W), (73) LELAND
AVENUE, (115) SECOND ST. (W), (117) SEVENTH
ST. (W), (121a) SOUTH STREET AND (129) THIRD
ST. (W) OF SECTION 543, THRU STREETS; AND
ADDING SUBSECTION (la) ALLEN STREET TO SECTION
543, THRU STREETS; AND
REPEALING SUBSECTION (30) SIXTH ST. (W) OF
SECTION 545, YIELD STREETS; AND ENACTING IN
LIEU THEREOF A NEW SUBSECTION (30) SIXTH ST.
(W) OF SECTION 545, YIELD STREETS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa:
That Subsections (39) Eighth St. (W), (73) Leland Avenue, (115)
Second St. (W), (117) Seventh St. (W), (121a) South Street and
(129) Third St. (W) of Section 543, Thru Streets, of the 1991
Traffic Code, are hereby repealed in their entirety; that new
Subsections (39) Eighth St. (W), (73) Leland Avenue, (115) Second
St. (W) , (117) Seventh St. (W) , (121a) South Street and (129) Third
St. (W) of Section 543, Thru Streets, of the 1991 Traffic Code, are
hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
(39) Eighth St. (W) Washington Street to Byron Avenue, except
for stop at South Street
(73) Leland Avenue
(115) Second St. (W)
West Mullan Avenue to Oaklawn Avenue,
except for stop at Sunnyside Street
From southwesterly side of Washington
Street to the west side of Sullivan
Avenue, except for stops at Locust Street
and South Street
(117) Seventh St. (W) Washington Street to Easton Avenue,
except for stop at South Street
(121a) South Street
(129) Third St. (W)
East side of West First Street to west
side of West Fourth Street; east side of
West Sixth Street to west side of West
Ninth Street; West 11th Street to Hammond
Avenue
Jefferson Street to Sergeant Road except
for traffic signal at Washington, stop at
South Street, and four-way stops at
Kimball and Fletcher
That Subsection (la) Allen Street of Section 543, Thru Streets, of
the 1991 Traffic Code, is hereby added as follows:
(1a) Allen Street East side of West Fifth Street to the
west side of West Seventh Street

That Subsection (30) Sixth St. (W) of Section 545, Yield Streets,
of the 1991 Traffic Code, is hereby repealed in its entirety; that
a new Subsection (30) Sixth St. (W) of Section 545, Yield Streets,
of the 1991 Traffic Code, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as
follows:
(30) Sixth St. (W) Washington Street to Williston Avenue,
except for stop at Allen Street
