HomeMy WebLinkAbout3842-01/27/1992ORDINANCE NO. 3842 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1991 TRAFFIC CODE FOR THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa: Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this adopting ordinance is to enable the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to comply with the provisions of Iowa Code Section 380.8 (1991). Section 2. Adoption. The City of Waterloo hereby adopts the 1991 Traffic Code for the City of Waterloo, Iowa, pursuant to the provisions of Iowa Code Section 380.8 (1991). Section 3. Content. The 1991 Traffic Code is composed of all city traffic ordinances presently in effect. The 1991 Traffic Code shall include this adopting ordinance and the Deputy City Clerk's certification of its adoption and passage. Section 4. Format. The 1991 Traffic Code of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall be compiled in loose-leaf format. Section 5. Official Copy. The City Clerk shall be responsible for the compilation, organization, and maintenance of the official 1991 Traffic Code of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and shall keep the official copy on file in the office of the City Clerk. Section 6. Public Copies. Additional copies of the 1991 Traffic Code shall be kept in the office of the City Clerk and shall be available for public inspection and purchase. Section 7. Additional Ordinances. All traffic ordinances adopted after the effective date of this ordinance shall be in the form of an amendment to an addition to the 1991 Traffic Code. Section 8. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be effective after its passage and publication, as required by law.
