AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1988 CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, BY
REPEALING SECTION 14-3, LIFE SAFETY CODE
ADOPTED, OF CHAPTER 14, FIRE PREVENTION AND
PROTECTION; AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW
SECTION 14-3, LIFE SAFETY CODE ADOPTED, OF
CHAPTER 14, FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa:
That Section 14-3, Life Safety Code Adopted, of Chapter 14,
Fire Prevention and Protection, of the 1988 Code of Ordinances of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby repealed in its entirety;
that a new Section 14-3, Life Safety Code Adopted, of Chapter 14,
Fire Prevention and Protection, of the 1988 Code of Ordinances of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is hereby enacted in lieu thereof as
follows:
Sec. 14-3. Life Safety Code, adopted.
That certain document marked and designated as the "Life
Safety Code, 1988 Edition, published by the National Fire
Protection Association", be and the same is hereby adopted. The
same is hereby adopted and incorporated as if fully set out at
length herein. At least one (1) copy of such code is on file and
available for inspection in the City Clerk's Office and Fire
Headquarters.
