AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF GLENWOOD,
SOUTH BARCLAY AND IRVING STREETS RIGHT OF WAY
IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY,
IOWA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows:
All that part of the right-of-way Glenwood Street lying
between the West right-of-way line of South Barclay Street and
the east right-of-way line of Irving Street being a 33.0 foot
wide right-of-way bounded on the North by the South line of
Lots 16 and 17 of Auditor Francis' Hardy and Virden's Plat No.
2 and the South line of Lot 15, Hardy and Virden's Plat and
bounded on the South line by the North line of Lot 7, Alford,
Gates and Krapfel's Subdivision and the North line of Lots 8
and 9 of Robert Robinson's Plat, described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the North right-of-
way line of Glenwood Street with the East right-of-way line of
Irving Street extended; thence Southwesterly to a point on the
West right-of-way line of Irving Street extended at a point
11.0 feet normally distant South of the North right-of-way
line of Glenwood Street; thence West parallel with the North
right-of-way line of Glenwood Street to a point 100.0 feet
normally distant East of the East right-of-way line of South
Barclay Street; thence Southwesterly to a point on the East
right-of-way line of South Barclay Street extended at a point
8.0 feet North of the Northwest corner of said Lot 7; thence
Southwesterly to a point on the West right-of-way line of
South Barclay Street which point is 5.0 feet South of the
intersection of the West right-of-way line of South Barclay
Street with the South right-of-way line of Glenwood Street
extended; thence North along the West right-of-way line of
South Barclay Street a distance of 34.0 feet; thence
Northeasterly to a point on the East right-of-way line of
South Barclay Street to a point which is 7.0 feet North of the
Southwest corner of said Lot 16; thence South to the Southwest
corner of said Lot 16; thence East along the North right-of-
way line of Glenwood Street to the point of beginning,
containing approximately 5,793 sq. ft., all in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa,
shall be, and the same is hereby vacated, with the City's retention
of an easement over, under, and above the described parcel.
