RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM REV. DAVID VAN NETTEN
OF GRACE REFORMED CHURCH ON AUGUST 18, 2019
FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M., IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE "SUNDAY IN THE PARK" EVENT TO BE HELD AT
GATEWAY PARK, INCLUDING A PICNIC, GAMES FOR THE
CHILDREN, USE OF A PA SYSTEM AND LIVE MUSIC.
WHEREAS, Rev. David Van Netten of Grace Reformed Church, is requesting
permission to hold the "Sunday in the Park" event, in Gateway Park, August 18, 2019, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, Rev. David Van Netten, of Grace Reformed Church, has made formal
application for a variance to the Noise Ordinance for the "Sunday in the Park" event, to be held
at Gateway Park, August 18, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., including a picnic, games for the
children, use of a PA system and live music.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Rev. David Van Netten, of Grace Reformed Church,
for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on August 18, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in
conjunction with the "Sunday in the Park" event, to be held at Gateway Park, including a picnic,
games for the children, use of a PA system and live music, is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of August 2019.
