RESOLUTION NO. 2019-598
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM SHIRLEY HAUGHTON ON
BEHALF OF COMMUNITY SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH,
ON AUGUST 24, 2019 FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 8:00 P.M. FOR
THEIR OUTREACH MINISTRY EVENT TO BE HELD AT
SULLIVAN PARK, INCLUDING SINGING, MUSIC AND THE
USE OF A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Shirley Haughton on behalf of Community Southern Baptist Church, is
requesting permission to hold their Outreach Ministry event, in Sullivan Park, August 24, 2019,
and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, Shirley Haughton on behalf of Community Southern Baptist Church, has
made formal application for a variance to the Noise Ordinance to hold the Outreach Ministry
event, to be held at Sullivan Park, August 24, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., including
singing, music and the use of a PA system.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THEIT
C Y OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Shirley Haughton on behalf of Community Southern
Baptist Church, for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on August 24, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to
8:00 p.m., in conjunction with holding the Outreach Ministry event at Sullivan Park, including
singing, music and the use of a PA system, is hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of August 2019.
