RESOLUTION NO. 2019-568
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM RACHEL NEIL AND THE
EDISON NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE ANNUAL NATIONAL NIGHT
OUT EVENT SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 6, 2019, FROM 4:30
P.M. TO 8:30 P.M., TO BE HELD AT THE FORMER EDISON
SCHOOL LOT, INCLUDING LIVE MUSIC AND SOUND
SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Rachel Neil and the Edison Neighborhood Association is requesting a
variance to the Noise Ordinance on August 6, 2019 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to be held at the
former Edison School, in conjunction with the annual National Night Out event, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Rachel Neil and the Edison Neighborhood Association
for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, in conjunction with the annual National
Night Out event to be held at the former Edison School lot, August 6, 2019, from 4:30 p.m. to
8:30 p.m., be hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of August 2019.
