AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1988 WATERLOO CODE
OF ORDINANCES, AS AMENDED, BY REPEALING
SUBSECTION (2) PUBLIC PROPERTY, OF SECTION 3-
69 (c), WALL SIGNS: PROJECTION; MAXIMUM
HEIGHT; VERTICAL CLEARANCE; OF CHAPTER 3,
ADVERTISING AND SIGNS; AND BY REPEALING
SUBSECTION (2) PUBLIC PROPERTY, OF SECTION 3-
70 (c), PROJECTING SIGNS: PROJECTION; AREA;
VERTICAL CLEARANCE; OF CHAPTER 3, ADVERTISING
AND SIGNS; AND BY ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A
NEW SUBSECTION (2) PUBLIC PROPERTY, OF SECTION
3-69(c), WALL SIGNS: PROJECTION; MAXIMUM
HEIGHT; VERTICAL CLEARANCE; OF CHAPTER 3,
ADVERTISING AND SIGNS; AND A NEW SUBSECTION
(2) PUBLIC PROPERTY, OF SECTION 3-70 (c),
PROJECTING SIGNS: PROJECTION; AREA; VERTICAL
CLEARANCE; OF CHAPTER 3, ADVERTISING AND
SIGNS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, that Subsection (2) Public Property, of Section 3-69(c), Wall
Signs: Projection; Maximum Height; Vertical Clearance; of Chapter
3, Advertising and Signs; and Subsection (2) Public Property, of
Section 3-70(c), Projecting Signs: Projection; Area; Vertical
Clearance, of Chapter 3, Advertising and Signs, of the Waterloo
Code of Ordinances, as amended, are hereby repealed in their
entirety; that a new Subsection (2) Public Property, of Section 3-
69(c), Wall Signs: Projection; Maximum Height; Vertical Clearance;
and a new Subsection (2) Public Property, of Section 3-70(c),
Projecting Signs: Projection; Area; Vertical Clearance, of Chapter
3, Advertising and Signs, of the 1988 Waterloo Code of Ordinances,
as amended, are hereby enacted in lieu thereof as follows:
Sec. 3-69. Wall signs: Projection; maximum height; vertical
clearance.
(c) Walls signs shall maintain the following minimum vertical
clearances where they project over:
(2) Public Property: Minimum of eight (8) feet.
Sec. 3-70. Projecting signs: Projection; area; vertical
clearance.
(c) Projecting signs shall maintain the following minimum
vertical clearances where they project over:
