RESOLUTION NO. 2019-502
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BLACK
HAWK SPRINKLER OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $68,765, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE RIVERLOOP PUBLIC MARKET
FIRE SUPPRESSION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZE THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Black Hawk Sprinkler of Cedar Falls, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount
of$68,765, in conjunction with the Riverloop Public market Fire Suppression Project, and is the
apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Black Hawk Sprinkler submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2019-500, after public hearing on July 1, 2019, in conjunction with the Riverloop
Public Market Fire Suppression Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Black Hawk Sprinkler in the amount of$68,765, in conjunction with the
Riverloop Public Market Fire Suppression Project, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Black Hawk Sprinkler,
in conjunction with the Riverloop Public Market Fire Suppression Project, are hereby
approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of July 2019.
