RESOLUTION NO. 2009-264
RESOLUTION APPROVING SALE OF REAL PROPERTY
BY WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY AND DIRECTING
EXECUTION OF CONVEYANCE DOCUMENTS BY
WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, Waterloo Housing Authority is an agency of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, existing under Title 2 , Chapter 14 of
the Waterloo Code of Ordinances ; and
WHEREAS, Waterloo Housing Authority
real property described as Lots 12-14 , previously pHrchaidd
Block
Addition" to the City of Waterloo, and saidaenc 6, illsidd
has
into a contract with Adalene L. Collins for a sale ofLote12eand
the West one-half of Lot 13 , locally known as 313 Monroe Street,
Waterloo; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
finds that the sale of said property by Waterloo Housing
Authority is in the best interests of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
1 . That the purchase agreement entered into by and
between Waterloo Housing Authority and Adalene L. Collins for
the sale and conveyance of property locally known as 313 Monroe
Street, and legally described as "Lot 12 and the West one-half
of Lot 13 , Block 6, "Hillside Addition" to the City of Waterloo"
be and the same is hereby in all respects authorized, approved
and ratified.
2 . That council member Robert Greenwood, as Chairperson
of the Waterloo Housing Authority, along with the Secretary of
said agency, are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to
execute and deliver, for said agency and on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, a special warranty deed, other instruments of
conveyance, and such other documents, and to undertake all other
actions, as may be necessary or advisable to consummate the
transactions .
