or WHEREAS, after reviewing and approving the concept of the
R4-k' Park and Performance Structure project, the City Council
lj,j `- thorized the development of a grant application for River
Erth cement Community Attraction and Tourism (RECAT) funds,_111 .1upportrt the development of the Mark' s Park and Performance
Shure Project, and;

o • WHEREAS, there has been widespread local support for the
Mars Park and Performance Structure project, the City of
Werloo herewith commits $10 , 000 towards development of the
Mark' s Park and Performance Structure project subject to
receiving a RECAT grant .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that they support the Mark' s Park and
Performance Structure project and authorize the submission of
the River Enhancement Community Attraction and Tourism grant
application.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Waterloo herewith commits $10, 000 to the Mark' s Park and
Performance Structure project, subject to funding by the RECAT
grant program.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th day of April, 2009 .
