This learning experience provides a solid foundation of general security knowledge and information to new security officers. We routinely schedule annual training sessions with our officers at the site to bring them up to speed with items of importance to Winona Foods as well as new security and industry specific practices. We build Site Profiles for all of our accounts so that when we are hiring for a specific location the candidate has an opportunity to read the highlights of what type of environment they will be working in, what the demands are of the position, and any special needs. It is important to make sure a candidate understands exactly what they will be going from a physical and mental standpoint before being sent to the site for a 'meet and greet' to help ensure it is the right fit for them as well. BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION Once a contingent job offer as been made and accepted a comprehensive background investigation is designed to make sure applicants are who they say they are, are reliable and dependable, and do not have a criminal history. Per Mar's Investigative Division executes all components of the check. Our background investigation includes the following components: Statewide Criminal Record Search County Criminal Record Search Social Security Number Trace National Sex Offender Registry Motor Vehicle Record Search Military Employment Verification DD214 If there are other elements required by Waterloo Waste Management outside of those noted let us know. DRUG SCREEN PROGRAM To assure a safe and hazard -free work environment for our own officers as well as the employees guests and visitors of each and every client, each employee signs a Drug Test Waiver; and all employees assigned to Waterloo Waste Management will have undergone a drug screen. Many security companies utilize a very limited test, sometimes only screening for two to three drugs; we test for THC, Cocaine, Methamphetamines, and Opiates. We also do random drug testing; approximately 10% of Per Mar Security employees working at all facilities are tested annually. In addition, we perform drug testing for reasonable suspicion and post- accident situations no matter the seriousness of the accident. Employees who operate vehicles as part of their responsibilities are required to notify their supervisor or appropriate manager when taking prescription or non-prescription medication which contains a warning label stating that the use of that drug may impair their ability to safely operate machinery or vehicles. ASSIGNMENT Contingent on Waterloo Waste Management's final approval, the employee is now ready to begin on-the- job training at the site. You are assured that all officer credentials, certifications and/or required specialized site trainings are up-to-date at all times; these items are maintained in our WinTeam software's HR module, which automatically does routine audits.
