Members present: Morrissey, Feuss, Klein, Amos, Schmitt, and Juon. Absent: Jacobs.
Moved by Schmitt seconded by Amos that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Voice -vote
Ayes: Six. Motion carried.
Objective: Discussion of the Recycling and Refuse Program.
Randy Bennett, Public Works Division Manager, provided an overview of the RFP process along
with questions presented to him prior to the meeting.
Mr. Morrissey read numerous questions about the Public Works Division Manager's proposal.
Matthew Pivot, Republic Services, provided an overview of their company and services.
Council members discussed the proposal to proceed with outsourcing the collection and
processing of recycled materials and making curbside recycling mandatory for all current and
future Dwelling Unit and Multiple Dwelling Unit customers, as defined by 4-3-1 of city code.
Objective: Review of edits to Title 1 of the City Code.
Council members discussed sections 1-5-9 through 1-6-6.
With no further business before the Council, it was moved by Juon, seconded by Schmitt, that
the meeting be adjourned at 5:10 p.m. Voice -vote Ayes: Six. Motion carried.
