RESOLUTION NO. 2009-355
RESOLUTION APPROVING SALE OF REAL PROPERTY
BY WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY AND DIRECTING
EXECUTION OF CONVEYANCE DOCUMENTS BY
WATERLOO HOUSING AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, Waterloo Housing Authority is an agency of the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, existing under Title 2 , Chapter 14 of
the Waterloo Code of Ordinances ; and
WHEREAS, Waterloo Housing Authority previously purchased
real property described as "Rose Hill First Addition Lot 17
Block 10 and West IA of Lot 18 Block 10 "Rose Hill First
Addition" Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa" to the City of
Waterloo, and said agency has entered into a contract with
Crystal Marie Kennedy for sale of "Rose Hill First Addition Lot
17 Block 10 and West IA of Lot 18 Block 10 "Rose Hill First
Addition" Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa" , locally known as
923 Oneida Street, Waterloo; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
finds that the sale of said property by Waterloo Housing
Authority is in the best interests of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
1 . That the purchase agreement entered into by and
between Waterloo Housing Authority and Crystal Marie Kennedy for
the sale and conveyance of property locally known as 923 Oneida
Street, and legally described as "Rose Hill First Addition Lot
17 Block 10 and West IA of Lot 18 Block 10 "Rose Hill First
Addition" Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa" be and the same is
hereby in all respects authorized, approved and ratified.
2 . That council member Robert Greenwood, as Chairperson
of the Waterloo Housing Authority, along with the Secretary of
said agency, are hereby authorized, empowered and directed, for
said agency and on behalf of the City of Waterloo, to execute
and deliver a special warranty deed, other instruments of
conveyance, and such other documents, and to undertake all other
actions, as may be necessary or advisable to consummate the
transactions .
