RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE REQUEST BY NIKKI
FISCHELS, TO SECTION 5-2-6 OF THE WATERLOO CODE
OF ORDINANCES, DISCHARGING WEAPONS, TO ALLOW
FOR THE ST. JOHN'S/ST. ATHANASIUS NATIONAL
ARCHERY IN THE SCHOOLS TOURNAMENT, TO BE HELD
AT THE CEDAR VALLEY SPORTSPLEX, 300 JEFFERSON
STREET, ON DECEMBER 13-14, 2019 FROM 7:00 A.M. TO
7:00 P.M.
WHEREAS, Nikki Fischels has requested a variance to allow for the St. John's/St.
Athanasius National Archery in the Schools Tournament to be held at the Cedar Valley
Sportsplex, 300 Jefferson Street, on December 13-14, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and
WHEREAS, said use of archery equipment would be in violation of Section 5-2-6 of the
Waterloo Code of Ordinances, Discharging Weapons, and
WHEREAS, Nikki Fischels has made formal application for a variance to Section 5-2-6
of the Waterloo Code of Ordinances, Discharging Weapons.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Nikki Fischels for a variance to Section 5-2-6 of the
Waterloo Code of Ordinances, Discharging Weapons, to allow for the St. John's/St. Athanasius
National Archery in the Schools Tournament to be held at the Cedar Valley Sportsplex, 300
Jefferson Street, on December 13-14, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., be and the same hereby
granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of August 2019.
