RESOLUTION NO. 2019-620
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM FELICIA SMITH ON BEHALF
OF NORTH END CULTURE CENTER ON AUGUST 17, 2019
FROM 11:30 A.M TO 6:00 P.M., IN CONJUNCTION WITH
NORTH END MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL EVENT TO BE
HELD AT FERGUSON FIELDS PARK, INCLUDING A STAGE
WITH MUSIC, SOUND SYSTEM AND PERFORMANCE.
WHEREAS, Felicia Smith is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on August 17,
2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., in conjunction with the North End Music and Arts Festival
event to be held at Ferguson Fields Park, including a stage with music, sound system and
performance, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance No. 3094, Noise
Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Felicia Smith for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094,
Noise Ordinance, on August 17, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., in conjunction with the
North End Music and Arts Festival event to be held at Ferguson Fields Park, including a stage
with music, sound system and performance, be hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of August 2019.
