RESOLUTION NO. 2019-632
RESOLUTION APPROVING A COMPLAINT MOWING AND SNOW
REMOVAL FEE SCHEDULE, TO BE CHARGED TO PROPERTY
OWNERS, TO COINCIDE WITH FEES CHARGED BY
CONTRACTED MOWING, PLUS AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE OF $20
PER TRANSACTION.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo currently contracts with a private company for
complaint mowing and snow removal for private properties cited through the City of Waterloo
Code Enforcement, and
WHEREAS, fees currently charged for complaint mowing and snow removal are $65.00
plus an administrative fee of$20 per incident, and
WHEREAS,the fees currently contracted for complaint mowing and snow removal are as
follows:
Mowing:
$95.75/hour
$39.9/acre for lots over 5 acres
$24.49/hour
Snow Removal:
$95.75/hour
and,
WHEREAS, fees currently charged to property owners do not coincide with fees being
paid by the City of Waterloo for complaint mowing and snow removal.
NOW THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA,that the complaint mowing and snow removal fees charged to property
owners coincide with fees contracted by the City of Waterloo for complaint mowing and snow
removal, plus an administrative fee of$20 per transaction, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of August 2019.
