DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
In the City of Waterloo, Iowa
CONTRACT NO. 988
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on the 5th day of September, 2019 until
1:00 p.m. for the construction of the FY
2020 CARDINAL DR., DONALD ST.
LINBUD LN., MARTIN RD. DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENTS, Contract No. 988, as
described in detail in the plans and
specifications now on file in the Office of
the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the First Floor Conference Room at City
Hall, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the
5th day of September, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.,
and the proposals will be acted upon at
such later time and place as may then be
fixed by the City Council.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed plans, specifications, form
of contract, and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above-described im-
provement project at 5:30 p.m. on the 9th
day of September, 2019, said hearing to
be held in the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers in City Hall in said City. The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared by the
City of Waterloo' are now on file in the
office of the City Clerk for public
examination, and any person interested
therein may file written objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto with the City' Clerk
before the date set for said hearing, or
appear and make objection thereto at the
meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK'"
The extent of the work involved in the
drainage improvements in, along, and
upon portions of Cardinal Drive, Donald
Street, Linbud Lane, and Martin Road
include installation of drain tile, storm
sewer, street repairs and other such work
as may be incidental thereto as detailed
in the construction plans.

Courier, a daily newspaper printed in Waterloo, Black

and that the annexed rate of advertised is the regular
legal rate of said newspaper, and that the following is
a correct bill for publishing said notice.
