AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2479, AS AMENDED,
BY ADDING SUBSECTION NO. 268 TO SECTION 2A-5, REZONING
CERTAIN PROPERTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows:
Section 1. That Section 2A-5, of Ordinance No. 2479, as
amended, be further amended by adding after Subsection No. 267,
of said Section, the following Subsection No. Two Hundred
Sixty-eight (268).
"268.
All that part of the West 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of
Section 21, Township 89 North, Range 13 West of the 5th
Principal Meridian, Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, lying
east of Greenhill Road and north of University Avenue,
described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the north line of said Southwest
1/4, which is 696.99 feet east of the Northwest corner of
said Southwest 1/4; thence south 30°24'36" east, 72.51 feet;
thence south 09°45'26" east, to a point that is 135 feet
radially distant northeasterly of the center line of
University Avenue, said point being the point of beginning;
thence continuing south 09°45'26" east to a point that is 80
feet radially distant northeasterly of the center line of
University Avenue; thence south 59°33'00" east, 75.94 feet
to a point that is 70.00 feet radially distant northeasterly
of the center line of University Avenue; thence north
00°18'33" east to a point that is 135 feet radially distant
northeasterly of the center line of University Avenue;
thence northeasterly along a curve 135 feet radially distant
northeasterly from the centerline of University Avenue to
the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa.
The west line of said Southwest 1/4 is assumed to bear north
0°00'00" east,
now zoned on the Zoning Map of Waterloo, Iowa, as "R-2" One and
Two Family Residence District, be and the same is hereby zoned as
"C-2" Commercial District as above described."
Section 2. That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby
directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the
Recorder of Black Hawk County, Iowa.
