RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF CEDAR VALLEY
cv s IRISH CULTURAL ASSOCIATION TO HOLD 3RD ANNUAL

H WHEREAS the Cedar Valley Irish Cultural Association has
ma-di written application to the City Council asking that they be

' authorized and permitted co hold the 3rd Annual Iowa Irish Fest
on July 31-August 2, 2009, and

WHEREAS, said fest will be held in Lincoln Park, including
closing the following streets from 1 : 00 p.m. on July 31, 2009
through 4 : 00 p.m. on August 2, 2009 : 4th Street from Franklin
Street to Lafayette Street, Mulberry Street will be half closed
from Park Avenue to just past Morg' s with Morg' s parking lot

Street will be fully closed from Morg' s to approximately halfway
down the 600 block of Mulberry Street to the first alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of the Cedar Valley Irish
Cultural Association to hold the 3rd Annual Iowa Irish Fest on
July 31-August 2, 2009 in Lincoln Park, including closing the
following streets from 1 : 00 g.m. on July 31, 2009 through 4 : 00
p.m. on August 2, 2009 : 4t Street from Franklin Street to
Lafayette Street, Mulberry Street will be half closed from Park
Avenue to just past Morg' s with Morg' s parking lot being
accessible (Lincoln Park will be closed) and Mulberry Street will
be fully closed from Morg' s to approximately halfway down the 600
block of Mulberry Street to the first alley, be and the same is
hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of July, 2009 .
