RESOLUTION NO. 2009-936
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO FOR THE
GOOD OF VETERANS COMMITTEE TO HOLD RALLY FOR
OUR VETS ON OCTOBER 11, 2009 .
WHEREAS, For The Good of Veterans Committee has made written
application to the City Council asking that they be authorized
and permitted to hold Rally For Our Vets on October 11, 2009, and
WHEREAS, said rally will be from 12 : 00 noon to 3 : 00 p.m. on
the grounds of Veterans Memorial Hall, and Cedar Street between
West 4th and West 5th Streets and the parking lot on West 4th
Street between Commercial and Cedar Streets will be closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of For the Good of Veterans
Committee to hold Rally For Our Vets on October 11, 2009 from
12 : 00 noon to 3 : 00 p.m. on the grounds of Veterans Memorial Hall,
and to close Cedar Street between West 4th and West 5th Streets
and the parking lot on West 4th Street between Commercial and
Cedar Streets, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 2009 .
