RESOLUTION NO. 2009-976
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MIDWEST
BUILDINGS, INC. ON BEHALF OF TYSON FRESH
MEATS FOR A MINOR SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE
"M-2 , P" PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A 30' X 76 ' STORAGE BUILDING
TO BE LOCATED WEST AND SOUTH OF THE MEAT
PACKING COMPLEX, NORTH OF THE EMPLOYEE
PARKING WITH ACCESS TO MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
DRIVE.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve the request of Midwest Buildings, Inc .
on behalf of Tyson Fresh Meats for a minor Site Plan Amendment to
the "M-2 , P" Planned Industrial District for construction of a 30'
x 76' storage building to be located west and south of the meat
packing complex, north of the employee parking with access to
Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, legally described as follows :
Southwest Northeast Section 21 Township 89 Range 12 and
Southeast Northeast and except East 60 feet for road
Section 21 Township 89 Range 12 , all in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, due to the insignificant nature of said minor Site
Plan Amendment, the Council did not deem it necessary to hold a
public hearing, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said minor
Site Plan Amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the minor Site Plan Amendment to the
"M-2, P" Planned Industrial District for construction of a 30' x
76' storage building to be located west and south of the meat
packing complex, north of the employee parking with access to
Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of September, 2009, and
approved by the Mayor this 30th day of September, 2009 .
