RESOLUTION NO. 2009-1011 RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION WITH U. S . ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF SAID APPLICATION BY MAYOR PRO TEM. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the application dated October 5, 2009, for an EPA Community- Wide Brownfield Assessment grant in the amount of $400, 000 . 00 ($200, 000 . 00 petroleum and $200, 000 . 00 hazardous substances) , with no required local match, to complete Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA' s) and remedial reuse planning for sites along the Cedar River and the former US Highway 20 and US Highway 63 corridors from the Cedar River to Allen Hospital, including sites such as Schultz Manufacturing and Longfellow School, by and between the U. S . Environmental Protection Agency and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, be and the same is hereby approved, and the Mayor Pro Tem and Deputy City Clerk authorized to execute the same in behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
