RESOLUTION NO. 2009-1082
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF COMMONBOND
COMMUNITIES AND EAST WATERLOO FAMILY HOUSING
LLLP FOR A MINOR SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE
"R-3, R-P" PLANNED RESIDENCE DISTRICT FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THE UNITY SQUARE TOWNHOMES TO
BE LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF NEWELL
STREET AND MOBILE STREET.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve the request of CommonBond Communities
and East Waterloo Family Housing LLLP for a minor Site Plan
Amendment to the "R-3, R-P" Planned Residence District for
development of the Unity Square Townhomes to be located at the
southeast corner of Newell Street and Mobile Street, legally
described as follows :
Unplatted Waterloo East all that part of the Northeast
Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 24 Township
89 Range 13 lying West of the West line of Ash Street
and North of the North line of Webster Street and South
of the South line of Newell Street except West 30 feet,
all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, due to the insignificant nature of said minor Site
Plan Amendment, the Council did not deem it necessary to hold a
public hearing, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said minor
Site Plan Amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the minor Site Plan Amendment to the
"R-3 ,R-P" Planned Residence District for development of the Unity
Square Townhomes to be located at the southeast corner of Newell
Street and Mobile Street, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2nd day of November, 2009, and
approved by the Mayor this 4th day of November, 2009 .
