RESOLUTION NO. 2009-1092
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN
ACQUISITION CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY
TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING
CERTAIN DEEDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HAZARD
MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM PROPERTY ACQUISITION
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had the parcels
described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained,
and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described
parcels is in conjunction with the Hazard Mitigation Grant
Program Property Acquisition Project .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contracts for the parcels
hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black
Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and
Deputy City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same
in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to
consummate the agreements to purchase the property from the
owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are
also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed
to pay for the properties from City funds .

Address - 148 Sans Souci Drive
Total Acquisition - $243 , 708 . 00
Sans Souci Lot 12 Lot 13 Southeast 1/2 Lot 14 and 40
feet Southwest and adjacent to Lots 12, 13 and 14 , all
in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and
Owners - Dale and Helen Wilcox
Address - 106 Sans Souci Drive
Total Acquisition - $159, 684 . 00
Sans Souci Northwestly 4 . 75 feet Lot 1 Lot 2 Lot 3, all
in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and
Owners - Richard and Lynne Johnson
Address - 128 Sans Souci Drive
Total Acquisition - $157, 608 . 00
Sans Souci Lot 8 and 40 feet Southwest and adjacent
also 6 feet of alley adjacent on Southeast, all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;

Beginning at Northwesterly corner of Lot 21 thence
running Westerly on an extension of the Northerly line
Lot 21 45 feet to a point in an extension Southerly of
the Westerly line Lot 1 in 1st Addition to Sans Souci
thence Southerly on a line that makes an angle to the
West 4°52' from above described extension of Westerly
line Lot 1 in 1st Addition to Sans Souci 19 . 5 feet to
point in an extension Easterly of Northerly line Lot 22
