RESOLUTION NO. 2009-1105
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE
AND CONVEYANCE OF CITY-OWNED PROPERTY
GENERALLY LOCATED AT 201 AND 205 INDEPENDENCE
AVENUE TO IOWA HEARTLAND HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
AS NOVEMBER 23, 2009, AT 5 : 30 P.M. IN CITY
HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO, IOWA, AND
INSTRUCTING THE DEPUTY CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 23rd day of November, 2009, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and
convey city-owned property generally located at 201 and 205
Independence Avenue to Iowa Heartland Habitat for Humanity, and
legally described as follows :
201 Independence Avenue (Parcel 8913-24-457-018)
Robert Robinsons Subdivision of the East half of the
West half of Lots No. 1 and 2 of Hardy and Virdens Plat
of the South East quarter of Section 24 Township 89
North of Range 13 West of the 5th Principal Meridian
West 40 feet South 110 feet Lot 15, all in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
for $1, 040 . 00, plus costs .
205 Independence Avenue (Parcel 8913-24-457-017)
Robert Robinsons Subdivision of the East half of the
West half of Lots No. 1 and 2 of Hardy and Virdens Plat
of the South East quarter of Section 24 Township 89
North of Range 13 West of the 5th Principal Meridian
East 45 feet West 85 feet South 110 feet Lot 15, all in
the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
for $1, 170 . 00, plus costs .
Section 2 . That the Deputy City Clerk is hereby directed to
publish notice of the time and place of said hearing in the
Waterloo Courier.
