RESOLUTION NO. 2009-1108 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN ACQUISITION CONTRACTS TO SELL REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY AND ACCEPTING AND APPROVING CERTAIN DEEDS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HAZARD MITIGATION GRANT PROGRAM PROPERTY ACQUISITION PROJECT. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has had the parcels described herein appraised and the fair market value ascertained, and WHEREAS, the acquisition of the hereinafter described parcels is in conjunction with the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Property Acquisition Project . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the contracts for the parcels hereinafter described to sell the same to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, all of which are situated in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, are accepted and approved and the Mayor and Deputy City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the same in behalf of the City and to execute all instruments necessary to consummate the agreements to purchase the property from the owners thereof, and the deeds for the conveyance of the same are also accepted and approved and the City of Waterloo is directed to pay for the properties from City funds . The subject addresses are : Owner - John E. Williams Address - 118 Sans Souci Drive Total Acquisition - $130, 824 . 00 Sans Souci Lot 6 and 40 feet Southwest adjacent, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; and Owner - Kent F. Shankle Address - 15 Sans Souci Drive Total Acquisition - $60, 072 . 00 Sans Souci Replat Lot 34 , all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
