RESOLUTION NO. 2019-721
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF MAIN STREET
WATERLOO AND THE WATERLOO COMMUNITY SCHOOL
DISTRICT TO HOLD THE ANNUAL MAYOR'S FUN RUN
EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2019 FROM 9:30 A.M. TO 12:00
NOON TO BE HELD AT THE EXPO GROUNDS AND
DOWNTOWN STREETS.
WHEREAS, Main Street Waterloo is requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on
September 24, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, in conjunction with the Annual Mayor's Fun
Run event, to be held at the Expo grounds and downtown streets, including the use of a PA
system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No. 3094,Noise Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Main Street Waterloo and the Waterloo Community
School District, for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on September 24, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to
12:00 Noon, in conjunction with the Annual Mayor's Fun Run event, to be held at the Expo
grounds and downtown streets, including the use of a PA system, be and the same hereby
granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of September 2019.
