RESOLUTION NO. 2019-722
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF EAST HIGH
SCHOOL TO HOLD THEIR ANNUAL HOMECOMING
PARADE ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2019 FROM 2:00 P.M. TO
3:00 P.M., BEGINNING AND ENDING AT EAST HIGH,
TRAVELING ON E. 5TH, SYCAMORE AND E. 4TH STREETS,
INCLUDING A STREET CLOSURE OF HIGH STREET FROM
10:00 A.M. TO THE STARTING TIME OF THE PARADE.
WHEREAS, East High School has requested that they be allowed to hold their
Homecoming Parade on October 4, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., beginning and ending at
East High School, traveling on E. 5th, Sycamore and E. 4th Streets, including a street closure of
High Street from 10:00 a.m. to the starting time of the parade, together with the approval of the
Director of Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will begin at 2:00 p.m., with the route to start and end at East
High School.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of East High School to hold their Homecoming Parade on
October 4, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. beginning and ending at East High School,
including a street closure of High Street from 10:00 a.m. to the starting time of the parade, be and
the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of September 2019.
