RESOLUTION NO. 2019-770
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO B &
B BUILDERS AND SUPPLY, OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $641,372.86, AND APPROVING THE BONDS
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE FOR THE FY 2020
SIDEWALK REPAIR ASSESSMENT PROGRAM - ZONE 9,
CONTRACT NO. 981, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS to B & B Builders and Supply, of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of$641,372.86, in conjunction with the FY 2020 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program -
Zone 9, Contract No. 981, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, B & B Builders and Supply submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2019-732, after public hearing on September 23, 2019, in conjunction with
the FY 2020 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 9, Contract No. 981.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B & B Builders and Supply, in the amount of$641,372.86, in conjunction
with the FY 2020 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 9, Contract No. 981, is
hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by B & B Builders and
Supply, in conjunction with the FY 2020 Sidewalk Repair Assessment Program - Zone 9,
Contract No. 981, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of October 2019.
