RESOLUTION NO. 2019-792
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO HUFF
CONTRACTING INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $279,181 AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2019 GATES PARK GOLF
MAINTENANCE BUILDING PROJECT, CONTRACT NO.
1000, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Huff Contracting Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$279,181, in conjunction with the FY 2019 Gates Park Golf Maintenance Building Project,
Contract No. 1000, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Huff Contracting Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2019-751, after public hearing on October 7, 2019, in conjunction with FY 2019
Gates Park Golf Maintenance Building Project, Contract No. 1000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Huff Contracting Inc., in the amount of$279,181, in conjunction with the
FY 2019 Gates Park Golf Maintenance Building Project, Contract No. 1000, is hereby
awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Huff Contracting Inc., in
conjunction with the FY 2019 Gates Park Golf Maintenance Building Project, Contract
No. 1000, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of October 2019.
