RESOLUTION NO. 2015-796
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF SPLASH OF
COLOR BREAST CANCER SUPPORT GROUP FOR
VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE ON OCTOBER 10, 2015 FROM 7 : 00 A.M.
TO 11 : 00 A.M.
WHEREAS, Splash of Color Breast Cancer Support Group is
requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on October 10, 2015
from 7 : 00 a.m. to 11 : 00 a.m. , in' conjunction with the Splash of
Color 5th Annual 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser event to begin and end at
Waterloo East High School, traveling on MLK, Mobile, Newel, E.
4th, Walnut and Vine Streets, including music and the use of a
bullhorn, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No.
3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Splash of Color Breast Cancer Support Group
has made formal application for a variance to the Noise Ordinance
on October 10, 2015 from 7 : 00 a.m. to 11 : 00 a.m. , together with
recommendation and approval of the Director of Safety Services .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Splash of Color Breast Cancer
Support Group for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on October
10, 2015 from 7 : 00 a.m. to 11 : 00 a.m. , in conjunction with the
Splash of Color 5th Annual 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser event beginning
and ending at Waterloo East High School, traveling on MLK,
Mobile, Newel, E. 4.th, Walnut and Vine Streets, including music
and the use' of a. bullhorn, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October, 2015 .
