RESOLUTION NO. 2019-812
RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING AS
NOVEMBER 12, 2019, TO APPROVE THE REQUEST BY THE
CITY OF WATERLOO TO VACATE APPROXIMATELY 4,459
SQUARE FEET OF STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, LOCATED
ALONG THE NORTHERLY SIDE OF HARWOOD AVENUE
AT THE FORMER EDISON SCHOOL SITE, SUBJECT TO THE
RETENTION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT, AND INSTRUCT
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa shall meet in the Harold E.
Getty Council Chambers at City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa at 5:30 p.m. on the 12th day of November
2019, for the purpose of considering and acting upon the request by the City of Waterloo to
vacate approximately 4,459 square feet of street right-of-way, located along the northerly side of
Harwood Avenue at the former Edison School Site, subject to the retention of a utility easement.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of the time and place
of said hearing in the Waterloo Courier.
