NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
On Proposed Plans, Specifications, Form
of Contract, And Estimate of Cost
For the
FIVE SULLIVAN BROTHERS
CONVENTION CENTER
KITCHEN PLUMBING IMPROVEMENTS
In the City of Waterloo, Iowa
RECEIVING OF BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the
City Clerk of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, at
her office in the City Hall of the said City
on the 7th day of November, 2019 until
1:00 p.m. for the construction of the Five
Sullivan Brothers Convention Center
' Kitchen Plumbing Improvements, as
described in detail in the plans and
specifications now on file in the Office of
the City Clerk.
OPENING OF BIDS
All proposals received will be opened in
the First Floor Conference Room at City
Hall, in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the
7th day of November, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.,
and the proposals will be acted upon at
such later time and place as may then be
fixed by the City Cduncil.
PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Council of
said City will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed plans, spebifications, form
of contract, and estimate of cost for the
construction of the above-described im-
provement project at 6:30 p.m. on the
12th day of November, 2019, said hearing
to be held in the Harold E. Getty Council
Chambers in City Hall in said City. The
proposed plans, specifications, form of
contract, and estimate of cost for said
improvements heretofore prepared by the
City of Waterloo are now on file in the
office of the City Clerk for public
examination, and any person interested
therein may file written objection thereto
with the City Clerk before the date set for
said hearing, or appear and make
objection thereto with the City Clerk
before the date set for said hearing, or
appear and make objection thereto at the
meeting above set forth.
SCOPE OF WORK
The extent of the work involved is the
removal of areas of concrete flooring and
renovation in the kitchen and warewash-
ing areas of the basement level of the
Convention Center. Existing sewer and
domestic water systems in that area will
be removed and replaced.

Courier, a daily newspaper printed in Waterloo, Black

of November, 2019 in the name of said newspaper,
and that the annexed rate of advertised is the regular
legal rate of said newspaper, and that the following is
a correct bill for publishing said notice.
