RESOLUTION NO. 2019-854
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO B & B
LAWN CARE, INC. OF WATERLOO, IOWA IN THE
AMOUNT OF $13.45 PER LOT/OCCURRENCE, APPROVING
THE CONTRACT, BOND, AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SNOW
REMOVAL OF CITY OWNED LOTS GENERALLY
ACQUIRED THROUGH IOWA CODE 657A, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa submitted a bid in the amount of
$13.45 per lot/occurrence, and is the apparent low bidder in conjunction with the snow removal of
city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A, and
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution
No. 2018-853, after public hearing on November 12, 2019, in conjunction with the snow removal
of city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B & B Lawn Care, Inc., in the amount of$13.45 per lot/occurrence,
in conjunction with the snow removal of city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code
657A, is hereby approved.
2. That the contract bonds and certificate of insurance submitted by B & B Lawn Care,
Inc., in conjunction with the snow removal of city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa
Code 657A, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of November 2019.
