RESOLUTION NO. 2019-856
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT
TO HENKEL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY OF MASON CITY,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $53,000, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE WATERLOO FIVE SULLIVAN
BROTHER CONVENTION CENTER LINTEL REPLACEMENT
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Henkel Construction Company of Mason City, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of$53,000, and is the apparent low bidder, in conjunction with the Waterloo Five Sullivan
Brother Convention Center Lintel Replacement Project, and
WHEREAS, Henkel Construction Company submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2018-830, after public hearing on November 4, 2019, in conjunction with the
Waterloo Five Sullivan Brother Convention Center Lintel Replacement Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Henkel Construction Company in the amount of $53,000, in
conjunction with the Waterloo Five Sullivan Brother Convention Center Lintel Replacement
Project, is hereby approved.
2. That the contract bonds and certificate of insurance submitted by Henkel
Construction Company, in conjunction with the Waterloo Five Sullivan Brother Convention Center
Lintel Replacement Project, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of November 2019.
