AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF THE
EXISTING 20 FOOT WIDE ALLEY, LOCATED ADJACENT
TO LOTS 1, 2, 9 AND 10 WITHIN BLOCK 16 OF
HAYES ADDITION, GENERALLY LOCATED NORTHEAST
OF BLACKHAWK STREET AND NORTHWEST OF WEST
17TH STREET IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK
HAWK COUNTY, IOWA; AND RESCINDING ORDINANCE
NO. 5266.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, as follows:
That part of an alley located lying Northwesterly of a
line drawn between the Easterly most corner of Lot 10,
Block 16, Hayes Addition and the Southerly most corner
of Lot 1, Block 16, Hayes Addition, and lying
Southeasterly of a line drawn between the Southerly
most corner of Lot 3, Block 16, Hayes Addition and the
Northerly most corner of Lot 9, Block 16, Hayes
Addition, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
shall be, and the same is hereby vacated, subject to the
following conditions:
1. The request to vacate would not appear to have a
negative impact on the surrounding area.
2. The request to vacate would not appear to have a
negative impact on vehicular or pedestrian traffic in
the area.
3. The request to vacate is in accordance with the
Comprehensive Plan and Future Land Use Map for this
area.
4. The request would appear to meet the requirements of
the Zoning Ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that Ordinance
same hereby is rescinded in its entirety.
