RESOLUTION NO. 2019-889
RESOLUTION APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT AND
MINIMUM ASSESSMENT AGREEMENT WITH WARREN
TRANSPORT, INC., FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 32,500
SQUARE FOOT FACILITY WITHIN THE MARIN ROAD
DEVELOPMENT PLAN AREA, WITH A TAX REBATE
AMOUNT OF 85 PERCENT FOR A TERM OF ELEVEN
YEARS AND 35 PERCENT FOR YEAR TWELVE, WITH A
MINIMUM ASSESSMENT OF $3,500,000, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA
that the Development and Minimum Assessment Agreement dated November 18, 2019, between
Warren Transport, Inc. and the City of Waterloo, Iowa, for the construction of a 32,500 square
foot facility within the Marin Road Development Plan area, with a tax rebate amount of 85
percent for a term of eleven years and 35 percent for year twelve, with a minimum assessment of
$3,500,000, is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute said documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of November 2019.
