RESOLUTION NO. 2019-890
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO J.F.
BRENNAN COMPANY, INC., OF LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN,
IN THE AMOUNT OF $388,350, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE,
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2020 CEDAR RIVER
BLADDER DAM REPAIRS, CONTRACT NO. 996, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, J.F. Brennan Company, Inc., of La Crosse, Wisconsin, submitted a bid in the
amount of $86,620, in conjunction with the FY 2020 Cedar River Bladder Dam Repairs,
Contract No. 996, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, J.F. Brennan Company, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2019-814, after public hearing on October 28, 2019, in conjunction with the
FY 2020 Cedar River Bladder Dam Repairs, Contract No. 996.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of J.F. Brennan Company, Inc., in the amount of $86,620, in conjunction
with the FY 2020 Cedar River Bladder Dam Repairs, Contract No. 996, is hereby
awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by J.F. Brennan Company,
Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2020 Cedar River Bladder Dam Repairs, Contract No.
996, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of November 2019.
