AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDI-
NANCE NO. 5079, AS AMENDED, CITY
OF WATERLOO ZONING ORDINANCE,
BY AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING
MAP REFERRED TO IN SECTION
10-4-4, TO APPROVE A REQUEST BY
THE CITY OF WATERLOO TO REZONE
7.4 ACRES WEST OF 420 HARWOOD
AVENUE FROM "R-2" ONE AND TWO
FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO
"9-1, R -P" PLANNED RESIDENCE DIS-
TRICT AND "C -P" PLANNED COMMER-
CIAL DISTRICT AND RESCINDING
ORDINANCE NO. 5046.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATER-
LOO, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.
That the Official Zoning Map referred to in
Section 10-4-4 of Ordinance No. 5079 as
amended, City of Waterloo Zoning
Ordinance, be amended to rezone the
property legally described as follows: R-2
TO C -P AREA - BEGINNING AT THE
INTERSECTION OF THE CENTERLINE
OF FALLS AVENUE AND THE CENTER-
LINE OF EVERGREEN AVENUE;
THENCE NORTHEASTERLY ALONG
THE CENTERLINE OF EVERGREEN
AVENUE TO THE CENTERLINE OF AN
ALLEY AS PLATTED IN GALLOWAY
ADDITION ABUTTING LOTS 342 THRU
348 AND LOTS 409 THRU 415; THENCE
SOUTHEASTERLY ALONG THE CEN-
TERLINE OF SAID ALLEY TO THE
CENTERLINE OF MAGNOLIA PARK-
WAY; THENCE SOUTHWESTERLY
ALONG THE CENTERLINE OF MAGNO-
LIA PARKWAY TO THE CENTERLINE
OF FALLS AVENUE; THENCE NORTH-
WESTERLY ALONG THE CENTERLINE
OF FALLS AVENUE TO THE CENTER-
LINE OF EVERGREEN AVENUE AND
THE POINT OF BEGINNING. R-2 TO
R-1, R -P AREA - BEGINNING AT THE
INTERSECTION OF THE CENTERLINE
OF BISMARK AVENUE AND THE
CENTERLINE OF MAGNOLIA PARK-
WAY; THENCE SOUTHERLY AND
SOUTHWESTERLY ALONG THE CEN-
TERLINE OF MAGNOLIA PARKWAY TO
THE CENTERLINE OF AN ALLEY AS
PLATTED IN GALLOWAY ADDITION
ABUTTING LOTS 342 THRU 348 AND
LOTS 409 THRU 415; THENCE NORTH-
WESTERLY ALONG THE CENTERLINE
OF SAID ALLEY TO THE CENTERLINE
OF EVERGREEN AVENUE; THENCE
NORTHEASTERLY ALONG THE CEN-
TERLINE OF EVERGREEN AVENUE TO
THE CENTERLINE OF HARWOOD AVE-
NUE; THENCE NORTHWESTERLY
ALONG THE CENTERLINE OF HAR-
WOOD AVENUE TO THE CENTERLINE
OF AN ALLEY AS PLATTED IN
GALLOWAY FIRST ADDITION ABUT-
TING LOTS 161 THRU 181; THENCE
NORTHERLY ALONG THE CENTER-
LINE OF SAID ALLEY TO THE CENTER-
LINE OF BISMARK AVENUE; THENCE
EASTERLY ALONG THE CENTERLINE
OF BISMARK AVENUE TO THE CEN-
TERLINE OF MAGNOLIA PARKWAY
AND THE POINT OF BEGINNING, now
zoned on the Official Zoning Map of
Waterloo, Iowa, approximately 7.4 acres,
generally located west of 420 Harwood
Avenue_as "R-2 One and Two Family
Residence District, be and the same is
hereby rezoned as "R-1, R -P" Planned
Residence District and "C -P" Planned
Commercial District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that
Ordinance No. 5046 is hereby, rescinded.
