BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATER- LOO, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That approximately 4,459 square feet of street right-of-way located along the northerly side of Harwood Avenue at the former Edison School Site, and legally described as follows: THAT PORTION OF PLATTED HAR- WOOD AVENUE LYING SOUTH OF LOT 171 AND WEST OF THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF PLATTED EVERGREEN AVENUE, IN GALLOWAY FIRST ADDITION, CITY OF WATER- LOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGIN- NING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 171, GALLOWAY FIRST ADDI- TION; THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE SOUTHERLY EXTENSION OF THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF EVER- GREEN AVENUE TO THE SOUTHEAS- TERLY EXTENSION OF THE SOUTH- WESTERLY LINE OF LOT 171, SAID INTERSECTION ALSO BEING THE ANGLE POINT OF THE WEST RIGHT- OF-WAY LINE OF EVERGREEN AVE- NUE; THENCE NORTHWESTERLY ALONG SAID SOUTHEASTERLY LINE EXTENDED TO THE WEST END OF THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT 171; THENCE EAST ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT 171 TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING AND THAT PORTION OF PLATTED EVERGREEN AVENUE LY- ING NORTH OF THE NORTHEASTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF PLATTED HARWOOD AVENUE AND LYING SOUTH OF THE NORTH RIGHT-OF- WAY LINE OF PLATTED ROCK ISLAND AVENUE, IN GALLOWAY ADDITION, CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOL- LOWS: BEGINNING AT THE SOUTH- WEST CORNER OF LOT 31, GALLO- WAY ADDITION; THENCE WEST ALONG THE WEST EXTENSION OF THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF PLATTED ROCK ISLAND AVENUE TO THE WEST LINE OF EVERGREEN AVENUE; THENCE SOUTH ALONG THE SAID WEST LINE OF EVERGREEN AVENUE TO THE NORTHWESTERLY EXTENSION OF THE NORTHEASTER- LY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF HAR- WOOD AVENUE, SAID INTERSECTION BEING THE ANGLE PONT, FOR THE w,EsrEF-RIGT LM -1 (�B�N AVENUE; HO 37 LM -11 ASTERLY ALONTHEN RTH EST- ERLY EXTENSION OF THE NORTH- EASTERLY RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF HARWOOD AVENUE TO ITS INTER- SECTION WITH THE NORTHEASTERLY EXTENSION OF THE SOUTHEASTER- LY LINE OF EVERGREEN AVENUE; THENCE NORTHEASTERLY ALONG THE NORTHEASTERLY EXTENSION OF EVERGREEN AVENUE TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH THE SOUTH EXTENSION OF THE EAST RIGHT-OF- WAY LINE OF EVERGREEN AVENUE, SAID INTERSECTION BEING THE AN- GLE POINT IN THE EASTERLY LINE OF EVERGREEN AVENUE; THENCE NORTH ALONG THE SOUTH EXTEN- SION OF THE EAST LINE OF EVER- GREEN AVENUE TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. shall be, and the same is hereby vacated, subject to the retention of a utility easement over the vacate area.
