ORDINANCE NO. 4908
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF EAST
RIDGEWAY AVENUE GENERALLY LOCATED EAST OF
TEXAS STREET, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK
HAWK COUNTY, IOWA AND RESCINDING ORDINANCE
NO. 4881 IN ITS ENTIRETY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
as follows:
A part of the SW fractional 1-4 SW 1/ of Section 31,
Township 89 North, Range 12 West and a part of the NW
fractional 1-4 NW 1-4 of Section 1 Township 88 North, Range
13 West, both of the Stn Principal Meridian, City of
Waterloo, Blackhawk County, Iowa described as follows:
Commencing as a point of reference at the SW corner of
said Section 31; thence N89037148"E along the south
line of said SW fractional 1-4 SW 1-4, 352.76 feet to the
east right-of-way line of the Iowa Northern Railroad
and the point of beginning;
thence N21018'01"W along said east right-of-way line,
32.12 feet to the north right-of-way line of East
Ridgeway Avenue;
thence N89037"481E along said north right-of-way line,
53.53 feet;
thence S21018'01"E, 64.24 feet to the south right-of-
way line of said East Ridgeway Avenue;
thence S89037'48"W along said south right-of-way line,
37.47 feet to said east right-of-way line;
thence N21018'01"W along said east right-of-way line,
32.12 feet to the south line of said SW fractional
SW 11;
thence S89037"48"W along said south line, 16.06 feet to
the point of beginning, containing 2730 square feet,
all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
shall be, and the same is hereby vacated, subject to
city's retention of utilities easement over, under and
above the above described property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Ordinance No. 4881 be, and the
same hereby repealed in its entirety.
