Members present: Chairperson Welper, Cole, Jones, Schmitt, Lind, and Morrissey
Absent: Hart
.Moved by Schmitt seconded by Morrissey that the Agenda, as proposed, be approved. Roll call
vote—Ayes: Six. Motion carried.
Moved by Lind seconded by Morrissey, that the request from the Director of Safety Services for
authorization to start the process to create a Civil Service list for the position of Police Officer,
be approved. Ayes: Five. Nays: One (Schmitt). Motion carried.
Mr. Schmitt questioned if this a new position or a back fill from retirement.

With no further business before the committee, it was moved by Schmitt seconded by Cole that
the meeting be adjourned at 5:05 p.m. Ayes: Six. Motion carried.
