RESOLUTION NO. 2019-933
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO
BOOMERANG CORPORATION OF ANAMOSA, IOWA, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $4,267,662, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BOND,AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE DRY RUN CREEK
INTERCEPTOR, CONTRACT NO. 877, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Boomerang Corporation of Anamosa, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount
of$4,267,662, in conjunction with the Dry Run Creek Interceptor, Contract No. 877, and is the
apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Boomerang Corporation submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2019-848, after public hearing on November 12, 2019, in conjunction with the
Dry Run Creek Interceptor, Contract No. 877.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Boomerang Corporation, in the amount of$4,267,662, in conjunction with
the Dry Run Creek Interceptor, Contract No. 877, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Boomerang Corporation,
in conjunction with the Dry Run Creek Interceptor, Contract No. 877, are hereby
approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
