RESOLUTION NO. 2012-872
RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONTRACT TO LEHMAN
TRUCKING & EXCAVATING, INC. OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $29, 926. 00, AND
APPROVING CONTRACT, BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH DEMOLITION AND
SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES (NO REGULATED
ASBESTOS-CONTAINING MATERIALS) , FOR THE
FOLLOWING PROPERTIES : 312 CHARLES STREET;
116 WEST PARKER STREET; AND 135-137
UNIVERSITY AVENUE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bond and Certificate of Insurance with
Lehman Trucking & Excavating, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, in the
amount of $29, 926. 00, in conjunction with Demolition and Site
Clearance Services (no regulated asbestos-containing materials)
for the following properties : 312 Charles Street; 116 West
Parker Street; and 135-137 University Avenue, described in the
plans and specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for
said project in Resolution No. 2012-835, after public hearing on
August 20, 2012 on published notice required by law, be and is
hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid received for said
work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day �of August, 2012 .
