RESOLUTION NO. 2012-957
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF MICHAEL POWELL
FOR A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Michael Powell is requesting a variance to the
Noise Ordinance on October 6, 2012 from 12 : 00 p.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. ,
in conjunction with Wellpro Center Breast Cancer Fundraiser for
the Beyond Pink Team event to be held just off Kimball Avenue
behind UPS and Arby' s, including a band/DJ and the use of a PA
system, with recommendation and approval of the Director of
Safety Services, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of the Ordinance
No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Michael Powell has made formal application for
a variance effective October 6, 2012 from 12 : 00 p.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Michael Powell for a variance
to Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on October 6, 2012 from
12 : 00 p.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. , in conjunction with Wellpro Center
Breast Cancer Fundraiser for the Beyond Pink Team event to be
held just off Kimball Avenue behind UPS and Arby' s, including a
band/DJ and the use of a PA system, be and the same hereby
granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this lst day of October, 2012 .
